Cello

Cat Ledgerwood is a Leeds College of Music graduate after studying at the conservatoire for 5 years, first on the BTEC course and then on the BA (Hons) Music, Classical Pathway. They had the honour of being tutored by renowned cellist, Alfia Nakipbekova whilst on the course.
Among their achievements are an Associates Diploma of the Victoria College of Music in Cello Playing, first prize in the duet category in the Wharfedale Music Festival and the Jamie Glover Prize in 2011.
Cat has performed regularly in ensembles and orchestras, including Leeds College of Music Chamber Orchestra, Leeds College of Music Baroque Orchestra, Leeds Community Symphony Orchestra, Wharfedale Chamber Ensemble and Sonore Ensemble. They currently perform in a dynamic music collective, CelloPhonics.
During their studies at LCoM, Cat has taken part in masterclasses with Oliver Coates, Natalie Shaw and Karol Marianowski.

Cat provides cello and music theory lessons, as well as working at Leeds College of Music as a Student Centred Learning Supervisor on the BTEC course, support cello teacher for Saturday Music School and a 1-1 mentor for the degree and BTEC courses. They also volunteer for a cultural arts charity.
